Windshield Wipers
Properly functioning windshield wipers provide the clear visibility you need to drive safely. Your local NAPA AutoCare Center can save you time - and headaches - by checking your wipers and installing replacement blades for you when you come in for an oil change or preventive maintenance service.
Need New Wipers? Here's How to Tell.

  • Cleaning. Even wipers in good condition may leave streaks on a dirty windshield. For a true test of the wipers' effectiveness, clean the glass first and then clean your wipers with windshield wiper fluid and a rag. (Don't forget back-window wipers if your vehicle has them!) Removing dirt or buildup allows the blade to make better contact with the window.
  • Inspection. The blade should stand up straight and the rubber should be soft, flexible and free of cracks.

Wiper Replacement Made Easy
Hard, cracked blades should be replaced. If the rest of the windshield wiper components are in good condition, you can save money by simply replacing the blades. Not sure what size or type you need? Just ask your NAPA AutoCare Center. It's a good idea to have your wipers checked every at every oil change.
